In this video, a lost goggie refuses to leave his wounded companion in the aftermath of Friday’s earthquake.
According to a Facebook post from Butch Japan president Kenn Sakurai, both dogs were found alive in Mito, Ibaraki by Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support, and are currently being cared for at a local shelter.
[lolspeak off] Hotdogs, the above is a photo of a very loyal goggie, “Leao,” sitting patiently for the second consecutive day next to the grave of her owner, Cristina Maria Cesario Santana, who was killed in the recent landslides in Brazil. Leao’s faithfulness is a poignant reminder of the bonds that are formed between pets and their owners, and it’s a reminder of how devastating death can be for everyone involved.

Hotdogs, this story is just too touching and sad for lolspeak.
Wayne Giroux, former owner of a lawnmower repair shop in Texas, was killed five months ago when his car was hit by a drunk driver. His son Paul has since taken over the shop, but one of his best friends is still not ready to accept his death: his goggie, Spot.
When Wayne was alive, Spot would wait on a country road near Wayne’s home to greet her owner every day after work. Even though he hasn’t come home for five months, Spot still waits at her same spot on the road every day, faithfully and loyally awaiting her best friend’s return.
It’s this kind of story that really proves beyond a doubt that goggies are truly man’s best friend.
