I do hope that the camera was simply left on to find out how they were escaping, rather than the owners watching the dog panic and attempt to break its own neck with that gate on top of it.

its a shame how owners let their dogs become overweight. a chihuahua shouldn’t be that pudgy.
if you think that’s pudgy you should see my chihuahua. he’s like 15 or more pounds. mind you it’s due to him taking a steroid medication because he has a spinal disc disease that causes his spine to deteriorate. his pills give him major munchies so he eats everything. and he won’t walk far because he’s so tired. so it’s not always the owners fault the dog gets fat. don’t just assume.
But then why do you LET him eat everything? As an owner I control what my dog does and does not eat, what he eats, and how often he eats.
I’ve really got to agree. My chi’s weight goes up and down, because it’s a constant battle between the rest of the family’s table scraps = love philosophy and my own being overweight = being unhealthy =/= love.
Perfect example of dogged determination.
I hope the camera was just left on to see what the puppies were up to. I hope no one was sitting there watching their dog who could have easily gotten hurt. I don’t find it funny at all.
You know what i dont find funny?
That they put in a laugh track.

In the bottom right corner is the ABC logo. This is vid was probably from “America’s Funniest Home Video’s”. So not a laugh track, but a live studio audience.
Why the hell did I put an apostrophe there? God, I need coffee.
While on one level it is rather cute and slightly funny, on another level it’s horrible and terrifying. Do you realize how easily that dog could have been killed? Think about it, many toddlers die as a result of sticking their heads through similar contraptions. Definitely not impressed over here.
Intelligence fail, it’s not that hard to work a baby gate. If it had been put up properly, there wouldn’t have been a gap in the middle, the dogs wouldn’t be able to knock it over, and the owners wouldn’t be cleaning piddle off the living room rug when they got home.
