I am keeping a 6mo Mastiff puppy that does that. It is a problem when you are trying to water the plants and she keeps jumping on them. she wights about 90lbs.

I had a fox terrier mix that would do the same thing. He hated baths, he hated rain, but turn on the water hose and he went totally berserk!
Our boxer did that, too!
My Rott does this, but he also loves baths and if you don’t shut the bathroom door properly he’ll hop in the shower with you.
Well, now imagine the same scenario….but with five dogs.
Yyyup, trying to water the plants is a real challenge in my house.

Not every big dog. One of our Shepherds loves it. The other hates it. (The Beagle/something mix doesn’t even like to walk on dew-covered grass.)
The Shepherd that loves it will desist if told to. That makes it much easier to water plants…
Ah, its a Border! Why doesn’t that surprise me ^^ All of my Borders do that, plus a couple of my German Shepherds do that too. My dogs do it to keep themselves cool ^^ They also go swimming in the water trophs we have out for them, they love that as well.
My Sheltie hates water. My Yellow Lab loves mud puddles.

I know this is funny and cute and all.. but it’s really easy for dogs to get pneumonia this way… (the water shoots down their air passages really easily, and then the fluids sit in their lungs) Just an FYI you should NEVER do this with your dog… I know someone whose dog died because of this…
