you make me feel like dancin (gonna dance the night away) :)

  2. Dano says:

Not dancing, but some sort of neurologic damage. Sad.

  3. Charlee says:

Not even a little funny – definitely a disease. Sad, not cute.

  4. Maureen Riley says:

I agree with the comment that the dog is probably suffering from some sort of neurological condition. Please remove this clip as there is nothing at all funny about that. And please consider all the other clips which show cats and dogs doing obssessive or repetitive things — more likely than not they have some disorder. Why make fun of another’s suffering?

    • keshet says:

I see a happy dog capering in a field with his/her friends. So what if the dog is unsteady on it’s feet. I feel sorry for all of the people who view others that have disabilities as “suffering.”

      • taylorpgreen says:

This dog is CLEARLY excited about going out to play with his/her buddies. So what if he/she trips up? My dog does this all the the time, especially when its snowing outside. He loves the snow. We took him to the vet to see if something was wrong, and there wasnt. He was just plain excited.

    • ALittleHazey's Supporter says:

Quote from below that deserves to be higher in this thread:

Ok, I’m a disabled person, have been since birth… I’m 80% Deaf and Have Cerebral Palsy with Mild Ataxia accompanied with stress induced muscle seizures and tremors (which is a neurological disorder. I run funny and my gross motor skills suck. In a way if you saw me, you could chalk me into the same pool with this dog. You say “poor guy” or “how sad” to me…. I’ll punch you. Go to a UCP fund raiser or Break the Barriers and tell them how sad you are for them… All it does make it seem like we are lesser beings that deserve your pity… If thats the way you think, admit it and then bend over real low and kiss your own butt. I’m happy, that dog seems plenty happy. I live a happy, normal, productive life and so does that dog, if I was being silly and someone made a video of it and put some cool music too it I’d laugh. So would every single disabled person I know. So all of you who have a problem with funny things even if they are disorders… can kiss my handi-capable butt. Laugh a little, enjoy the goose steppin’ dog, and smile. Cause he is.

      • Ruth's Supporter says:

        And and excellent reply:

        Well said LittleHazey!!!!
That shut the argument up well and truly.
As a vet, I can indeed confirm that the condition is Cerebellar Hypoplasia, and that the dog in question is not suffering at all. Indeed, she looks extremely happy, healthy and her surroundings look lovely. The rescue centre sounds like a wonderful place.
Nobody mentioned the 3 legged black dog in the background, did they? Is that cruel too? No.
The video raises awareness of a good cause. Enough said.

  5. Rowdee says:

I adopted a puppy several years ago with a similar neurological condition. She eventually could walk fairly stably, but never normally. She lived for 3 years and was the love of my life. I called her Dizzy.

    • lilrainrain says:

My friend has a cat with a similar condition, her name is Ziggy. She is so much fun and has no idea anything is wrong with her.

  6. bigcomedown says:

that dog is definitely having a seizure and it is not funny.

    • Rufus says:

Yeah, it’s definitely has some sort of problem and I’d say seizure as well. The fact that it looks happy is no indication that it actually is.

      • Rufus says:

I’ve forwarded the video to a relative who is a vet. I’ll post another comment when I get his opinion.

  7. bigcomedown says:

    also, russians are morons

  8. gunnerjones says:

The poor dog is ill, not funny , should delete

    • teenager43 says:

idk about you, but he seemed pretty happy. and if he’s so ill how come his owners r letting him play outside? everyone whos saying “that poor dog, this shld b deleted,” lighten up. he seems pretty okay to me. as long as he’s not in pain or anything, its funny.

  9. noodles says:

suffering? the dog looks pretty happy.

  10. Larry Sheldon says:

This clip is just wrong–exceed in wrongness only by your decision to post it.

  11. JennyPA says:

There’s nothing LOL-worthy about a video of a dog with a neurological disorder. It’s sad and kind of sick.

    • LittleHazey says:

So you’re basically saying unless you are normal you shouldn’t have videos made of you because it’s grotesque to see abnormalities in nature on a website?

    • jen0cide says:

That dog doesn’t look very sad. But I’m sure that she would be angry if she knew that you thought she was supposed to be sad just because she was different.

  12. Kara says:

cerebellar hypoplasia could be a possible explanation for this dog’s crazy dance. If a dog or cat contracts distemper during pregnancy, it can result in cerebellar hypoplasia or “wobbles” in the offspring. There is an amazing facility that takes in disabled animals, including dogs, cats, and horses with the wobbles, as well as blind and deaf animals. Check out Rolling Dog Ranch for info. The animals with CH are able to lead happy, productive lives- they just wobble around! Rolling Dog Ranch provides a safe, healthy environment for disable animals that have been discarded. If you are able to make a donation or volunteer your time, it would be greatly appreciated.

    • laura says:

Gonna have to second your comment, Kara. It is sad that this dog is on display for his neurological condition, but he is at least happy, as evident by his facial expressions and his upbeat movement. I have also been following Rolling Dog Ranch for some time now and love the work they do. I can also second the fact that they have much valuable information relating to wobbles in dogs and cats. Check them out! It’s only a Google search away!

  13. Exit Academy says:

This is your dog (left)…this is your dog on LSD (right)

  14. Anne says:

Um, in the U.S. we call that rabies.

    • Shaz says:

Maybe YOU call it that, but no one else would. *eye roll* It looks like cerebellar hypoplasia and he looks pretty fricking happy to be outside with his buddies.

  15. mel says:

ok 1- yes the dog has a disorder
    2- it is not rabies
3- it really doesn’t matter because the dog is happy
I had a dog that had parvo and had a wobble for the rest of his life. when he got excited he would run faster and make it worse. this looks so bad because the dog is exacerbating his condition with his excitement .

  16. RedPhoenix says:

This dog’s name is Soba, and she has a neurological condition called cerebellar hypoplasia, which affects her fine motor skills and balance. She lives at the Rolling Dog Ranch sanctuary. She’s perfectly happy, and she can still get from point A to point B, it just takes her a little longer. It’s not a seizure, and it’s not sad or sick. Just the way she is. And if it looks like she’s doing a little dance when she walks, it is sort of amusing.

    • cmbmom says:

I think it’s great that your ranch takes in animals with CH. Too many vets and uncaring owners automatically put animals with CH down. I know someone who has a cat, named Daisy, with CH. She enjoys the same activities as any other animal and leads a happy, healthy life.

  17. e abbott says:

I think this should be removed. I don’t know if this animal is sick or if it has a disorder, but it is not funny to watch this video. I will stop looking at this site if videos such as this continue to be posted. It is heart breaking.

  18. sosogomi says:

now you all chill the basement out.

  19. Andrew says:

uuuuuh,so totally not about the disease… anyone know what that song is? Cuz I’d totally like to seizure to that sometime. okokok sorry… that was horrible… but seriously, anyone know the song?

  20. Rebecca says:

oh please people, this dog does NOT look like he/she is in any discomfort or pain and looks to be pretty happy and well cared for. people need to take this stuff with a little humor because this dog doesn’t need to be pitied

  21. Nonsense. He looks otherwise healthy, well fed, and has at least a couple friends to play with. Sad is what you make of it, and he doesn’t look like it’s getting him down any.

    Lighten up, folks.

  22. Emily says:

This video is from Rolling Dog Ranch, a rescue for dogs, horses, and other animals suffering from blindness, deafness, neurological conditions, and other issues.

  23. Larry Sheldon says:

I’ll agree that the dog doesn’t seem to be suffering.

But neither do most (all?) of the Downs syndrome children. Nor do most of the other impaired, injured, or stricken people I know.

I object to people making fun of them too.

    • CottlestonPie says:

      Larry, it’s a DOG.

      • Awol26 says:

“Making fun” and “taking pleasure” in a person/dog/skunk’s obvious joy are two different things. Doggy doesn’t seem like the others, but sure seems to be having fun. Guess what-people are just like that, too.

    • jen0cide says:

No one is making fun of this dog. When I watched this video, I knew what was wrong with this dog, and I laughed until I cried. I laughed so hard I couldn’t BREATHE. And when I could, the first thing I said was “Jesus, Look at how HAPPY that dog is!”

I don’t care about her disease and neither does she. Taking joy in a romp in the yard is a beautiful thing. And if she could sit down and watch this video, I bet she would think it was great that someone gave her little dance a song to go with it.

  24. Emmy says:

This is a happy dog. Here’s the original video. And if you don’t feel like clicking a link then the video’s called Soba Goes Wobbling
The user account of the video is RollingDogRanch

Here’s the link about Soba on the website:
    http://rollingdogranch.org/dogs/noodle-soba.html

  25. Madison says:

That’s one of the dogs from the Rolling Dog Ranch, a home for disabled dogs. This is one of their dogs that has got cerebral hypoplasia, and although disabled it isn’t unhappy. This video’s from their youtube channel.

  26. Ranet says:

You’ll find a better quality of this video here – http://www.rollingdogranch.org/video/sobawalking.html

Her name is Soba and she has a sister Noodle who has even more trouble walking.

The dogs are at Rolling Dog Ranch, the place mentioned by Kara. It would be good if the caption under the video could mention the Ranch and link to it; I’m sure they will welcome donations for Soba and all the other anmals.

(I have nothing to do with the Ranch btw)

  27. Shaz says:

This is one happy doggy! He doesn’t know he has cerebellar hypoplasia! All he knows is he’s well fed, out in the fresh air and playing with his buddies! This is an awesome video!

  28. ashtynn says:

I work at a vet clinic where we have a “shop dog” who twitches like this. She has severe neurological damage caused by a serious case of distemper. She is very happy as this dog seems to be, but still, this isn’t funny

  29. LadyIndustrial says:

I have a dog who have been diagnosed with some neurological malformations and he’s epileptic. Still, even if he doesn’t walk the right way and does a lot of weird things, he’s a little bundle of joy and he makes us laugh a lot with all his little quirks. This dog has probably some kind of condition but he is obviously happy to play outside with his friends. So I think this isn’t wrong to laugh or smile: yes, he has something, but it’s not like he’s laying on the ground, shaking and crying. He’s happy even if he’s ill, let’s hope for the best for this wonderful pet.

  30. Larry Sheldon says:

    Yeah.

So what’s the big deal about dog fighting, anyway?

Some how I thought humans were humane.

    Silly me.

    • jen0cide says:

Oh for christs sake. really? Talk about taking something way to seriously and WAY too far. You need to lighten up.

  31. King of Nirak says:

I have no idea if this dog is really “unhappy”.
Still people makin fun of any illness is just… well… sick…
I work with mentally disabled people… that’s not a bad thing.
Nor is having a sick dog (unless beating him made him this way)
I just dont think its ok to make fun of it.
Mostely because none of us are sure about what the problem with this dog is.

  32. Niggit says:

Yeah, it looks like some sort of neurological problem to me too…but the dog looks happy, looks as though it’s coping in its own bumbling way, and given that the black lab in the video only has three legs, I would suggest this is from a rescue centre where animals with disabilities can live out their days and play together. I think it’s a nice video.

    • Holly says:

I’m right there with you Niggit. I’d like more information, rather than just a video posted with music, but he looks happy and is with other dogs that have disabilities.

  33. rambokaetzchen says:

dog happy or not, it’s not funny :(

    • Maci says:

i agree he may be happy but it is not funny to make fun of it…this one was a “leave well enough alone” kinda thing….it is jus to conraversal to leave up.

      • LittleHazey says:

Taking it down would be censorship, which is not only illegal in the us, but just wrong. If every controversial thing on the web was taken down, there’d be no web.

    • LittleHazey says:

No it is funny. The music is awesome with it. Speaking as a disabled person, wee like to laugh too. Believe it or not, the dog is normal like any other dog you’d laugh at… this one just walks oddly. Lighten up, check out the rollin dog ranch and see for your self.

  34. funkygrl101 says:

I actually think this video is FROM Rolling Dog Ranch, like kara mentioned. That place is absolutely amazing, and if that’s the case, then this dog is a well taken care of, super happy puppeh, and is not having a seizure, so LIGHTEN UP. He doesn’t know that he’s any different than other dog, as he should. You start treating them differently is when they start to feel different and helpless. (Same goes for human beings that are “suffering”)

  35. beth says:

It’s not a seizure, it’s not painful – it’s most definitely cerebellar hypoplasia. If the mother contracts certain viruses or is exposed to certain mutagens later in the pregnancy, the cerebellum fails to develop normally. The cerebrum develops earlier in pregnancy, so the dog’s cognitive functions are completely intact and he is otherwise completely happy and healthy. He’ll always wobble around, but he doesn’t know any different! If you watch, you’ll notice that he never actually falls over…cerebellar hypoplasia dogs and cats are like Weebles. Don’t feel bad for him, he seems quite happy with himself.

  36. Martha says:

    OK, guys.

All you folks who think it’s awful and hideous and cruel and not funny . . . .

Time to put your money where your mouth is and donate to Rolling Dog Ranch.

  37. Gindy52 says:

Happy dog or not, I don’t find this humorous. I am a supporter of Rolling Dog Ranch and I seriously doubt they’d appreciate you making fun of one of their dogs. I know I don’t.

  38. Dyalad says:

    It’s the dog of technoviking!

  39. Maci says:

i agree. that was a muscle spasm. i had a dog that would do sumthing similar to that. an it was scary an very sad..she would end up in a corner splayed out muscles tense. and they canot do anything about it. she would even bang into walls and cut her lip. its not funny an i would c how someone who didnt know what it was would post it but that looks VERY similar to wat my dog had. an i agree it is not funny a would like to c it taken down.

  40. Dy7lan says:

OMG, that’s horrible… How could somebody think this should be posted on a comical page? This poor dog.

  41. sandybeach says:

I’m on the fence about this one. Yes, the dog appears to be happy and doing just fine accommodating his disorder. No, we shouldn’t make fun of anyone with a disorder. But isn’t the whole purpose of this site to take things that aren’t really funny and turn them into something that is funny? I do believe some sort of comment or caption should accompany this explaining what is wrong with the dog. Okay, telling the truth, I’d be happier if it were taken down since it’s open to incorrect interpretation.

  42. Bev says:

Sad, this dog has some neuroligical damage. Not funny or cute. Who would post this and set music to it?? Please remove this post.

  43. Zizi says:

This dog obviously has a neurological disorder. Could be congenital, could be the result of abuse. Either way, not funny. This video should be removed.

  44. Michelle says:

I think many people’s opinion is that yes, the dog is apparently coping just fine with the disorder and is not unhappy. But my objection is that the video has been created simply to make the dog into an object of humor and ridicule instead of using it as an opportunity to educate, and tell us about Rolling Dog Ranch. Seems like every time I get on this site anymore, I see a video with an animal that has a disorder meant to entertain and amuse instead of educate. Lame, IMO. Next maybe we’ll see a video of a mentally handicapped child or an elderly man with Alzheimer’s set to funny music and canned laughter?

  45. Jill in IL says:

    Wrong, wrong, wrong. Poor dog.

  46. Kristyn says:

Looks like a happy doggy to me, with or without a disorder.

  47. Sarah says:

ridecule? what ridicule? “oh look, the dog has a problem, it’s stupid!” No. The dog has a problem, it happens to fit nicely to music, and you can get a quiet chuckle out of it because the dog is obviously still enjoying himself and doing what dogs naturally do: act like clowns.

  48. menion says:

The song (somebody was asking) is by XS Project. I don’t know the title, but they all sound the same to me, so you should be good to youtube :)

  49. Tânia B. says:

What is funny about the video is not the dog’s disorder, but how it fits the music. That’s why if you see the original video from the ranch, already posted here, you will not find it funny like this one. As said before, the dog is happy and well treated. Nobody is laughing at the dog or think it’s stupid for acting like this. Stop being so serious, for goodness’ sake!

  50. Andrea says:

I came across this video in the “music version” on The Daily What (another Cheezburger site) and being an animal person, was intrigued as to what it actually was. I found the original link to the Rolling Dog site. As horrible as “making fun” of this video is, it may actually create awareness as it did in MY case.
    Thank you Rolling Dog Ranch!

  51. LemurQueen says:

Michelle: I absolutely agree with you. NOT FUNNY. Posting images and videos of animals with health conditions which present like this only incites people, who have no idea what they are looking at, to mock the animal or claim it is funny. It appeals to the lowest of all.

  52. Annasmom143 says:

It was painfully obvious this dog as a condition. I was disturbed at the video, until I read the comments. I hope she’s in a good place, and she does seem happy. But did the video really make me smile, no…it made me sad. I understand that this is how she is…but it really was not funny, at least not to me. And it seems it wasn’t too funny to most viewers.

  53. Achi says:

Though not funny, this dog is definitely having a good time in his own way. And he’s probably clueless to the fact he’s not “normal”. But it’s still tough to watch a dog not able to run and play like a dog should. This one made me sad. I think making light of it as a “dance” might be in poor taste. But I did learn something and am that much more grateful for people who are willing to give their time to pets like these.
All the best for this pooch.

  54. LittleHazey says:

Ok, I’m a disabled person, have been since birth… I’m 80% Deaf and Have Cerebral Palsy with Mild Ataxia accompanied with stress induced muscle seizures and tremors (which is a neurological disorder. 55. willow says:

here is a link to the original video, which shows she is a happy and loved animal: http://www.rollingdogranch.org/video/sobawalking.html
Thanks for the laugh Soba! you are one fine animal

  56. Ruth says:

    Well said LittleHazey!!!!
That shut the argument up well and truly.

  57. OneMoreDown says:

    Sad condition. Happy dog.

Music is a brainstab with a spork.

  58. RAMjb says:

Have to say that regardless of comments of people with any kind of disorders here, that I find this clip sad. Ok, the dog seems happy. Ok, people with disabilities can have full lifes, so can pets with neurological disorders.
But I can tell you, I’ve got a VERY twisted sense of humor (I laugh at very politically incorrect things) and I still think this clip is wrong. I don’t think its funny to put some dance music to poke fun out of a dog with this problem, same as I wouldn’t find it funny had this music been used with an human with similar condition (unless is made with his express consent). The way I see it the music is a way to put some weird sense of fun into a clip that without said music would probably cause a smile.
Making fun out of disabilities is wrong in my book. And I apologize before anyone with a disability who reads this and disagrees with me for not being able to, but I can’t find this clip funny no matter what.

  59. v-tek says:

My dog started doing this and I got suspicious. Turns out she had stepped in fire ants and was trying to get them off.

  60. Alex says:

What an adorable, happy wobbly little dog. She gets around just fine despite her issues!

  61. Kib says:

First off, that dog looks amazingly happy. I’m pretty sure most of the people here are not making fun of the her. When your out playing with your pets, doesn’t it make you smile and laugh when you see them having fun? So just because this dog has a disorder, that means we aren’t allowed to smile and laugh and have fun with it like we would any other dog? All of you people that want it taken down, do you want us to shun this dog and pity it because it has something wrong with it? She’s a happy dog with a great life that gets to run around and play with other dogs. Be happy for her.

  62. robyn says:

Look at all the comments affirming that this dog does indeed have a disorder, but are also reassuring us that she is not having a seizure. It’s like a neurological tick that people have, and the dog is indeed having a great time. Have fun with the dog because the dog is having fun with or without your rude comments.

  63. teenager43 says:

people! the dog doesn’t seem to be in pain or anything.and i have a disability and i hate being pitied. please. if someone made a funny video about it what would i care? if i were that dog, i wouldn’t care, and neithr should you all. its just a stupid video. Laugh and move on, people!!!

  64. Mo says:

Canine Distemper is what it’s called I think. Hard to watch, but the dog actually looks happy. Dogs have a different idea of quality of life, I think.
