Fail! That is a Boston Terrier, not a Boxer. Coloring and size are distinctly different. The face is similar but still not the same.

It’s been said, but fail. That’s a Boston Terrier. It’s not even half the size of a Boxer. Are people getting dumber or something?
I was gonna say Frenchie, but I can never keep them and Bostons straight.
This is definately a BT, not a Frenchie. easiest way to tell BTs and Frenchies apart (if you can only see the head) is by the ears and facial coloring. Frenchies have wide ears that are very round on top, while Bostons have narrower, more pointed ears. Almost every BT (even non-show) will have the white blaze between the eyes too (it’s much more common than not on a boston). There’s other ways too, especially with body build, but growing I had a BT and my neighbors had a Frenchie. People used to ask us all the time how tell them apart. hope that helps!
It’s definitely a French Bulldog. Boston Terriers have flatter faces, and larger, slightly floppier ears.
You fail just as hard as the poster of the pic. Frenches don’t have the black markings on their faces, and are more wide/stout. As an owner of a mini-boston, it’s obvious to me this isn’t a French…
Actually no such thing as a mini-boston. One breed, one standard size. And actually, Frenches do come in a dark brindle (which could look black in a b & w photo) with white markings exactly like those of a boston.

It is still a BT tho. The original comment by kimmy has the ears confused between the breeds. Frenchies are more known for the wider, more rounded ears. Looking at the angle and narrowness of the ears on this dog (and his muzzle isn’t as round as a Frenchie’s either), this is most likely a Boston.
Btw, I think some UK breeders refer to BTs as mini-bostons so don’t be hatin!
I don’t wanna argue but I’m positive that that is a Boston. Frenchies have flatter faces and usually aren’t black and white. They are super similar though, unless you see the Frechie’s squatty body in person of course lol.

i work in a animal clinic and see boston terriers on a daily basis. frenchies do in fact come in black and white; a frenchie breeder is a client of the clinic and she has two with that coloring. frenchies have a more extreme brachycephalic head; meaning their faces are flatter. they are shorter and squatter than bostons and not nearly as neurotic. this is a pic of a boston terrier, a cute one even
this goes to #fail. it’s a BOSTON baby! as a lover and owner of both breeds, both are emo breeds… but BTs might win out.

I don’t think they are ugly, I had never seen them before and at first they look … I don’t know, confusing, you have to think for half a second, because they don’t look like dogs at first.
But I saw on one page, that they have a very nice personality and are playful, etc.
I sure as heck have! My best friend had one and she was mean as anything! She bit everyone!
I just about died laughing when I read this. I’ve been terrified of the Chinese Crested breed since I was little. It’s a big thing to everyone around me.. They think it’s funny to get me cards with pictures of them.. things like that.
Dog people can be militant about such things… like me. To us, it’s SUCH an obvious fail!

Mos def a Boston, you should be able to recognize that gorgeousness anywhere…..credentials…i own a beauty….post script. boston’s ususally never have floppier ears.
I work at a Vet hospital, and every boston we’ve ever seen come in, has not had erect ears.
I have owned several bostons. All with erect ears.
I have met quite a few too…… I’m a veterinarian and a technician for four years prior to that lol… and they do have erect ears.
Bosties have erect ears, not floppies. I’ve been owned by 8.
Frenchies’ ears are more rounded than Bosties, theirs are pointier at the top. Bosties are more gracile, Frenchies are sturdier.
Still not a Boxter.
maybe the Bostons that come to our clinic aren’t well-bred then, i dunno.
I raised Bostons for 16 years and was told that the breed usually should have erect ears by the time the adult teeth come in, so depending on the age and development of the teeth (which may vary) the ears may not quite be sturdily up in a young dog. If not erect by adulthood they may never both be completely erect which would then be considered a flaw with regard to showing/breeding.

Frenchie’s do come in black and white. I have a black and white one, thats 5 years old!!
That is a pied French Bulldog. See the French Bulldog Club of America’s site for one with similar markings http://www.frenchbulldogclub.org/. Frenchie ears are supposed to be rounded at the top, Bostons are normally pointier.
