I really want to know what people are doing to make Vista work so poorly for them. I’ve played computer games that my laptop didn’t actually meet the listed minimum system requirements for and Vista still ran like a dream.

But then again, the computer I had before that had Windows ME, which I had relatively few problems with, so maybe I just have the touch.

I have the same thing, I can get just about anything to run on vista, never doing more than change the compatibility mode.
I’ve never had any stability issues with this OS.

Me three! Yeah, 98, XP, and 2000 were all hell (heck, I remember 3.1…), but Vista never gave me any problems, and neither is Windows 7.

However, I’ve never tried to download a German Shepherd adaptor… mebbe the programming is faulty there!

I do tech support and I can honestly say that Vista calls are something we dread here. Both XP and 7 are okay, but Vista just does some of the most incredibly nonsensical things. Sure it works like a dream for some people, sometimes, just like everything else, but its a lot more likely to break and when it does it takes down other parts of the system in ways that are hard to explain.

    Ha I’ve been there goggie!

That laptop’s too old to have Vista on it anyway.

Sounds like someone needs an upgrade to Windows 7, it’s probably cheaper to do that than to have someone come and fix Vista.

Freedom is a download, burn, and 7 clicks away.
