Animals being awesomer than humans – Exhibit 1.
The ZOO near where I live did the same thing quite a few years back. What is even more awsome was that the dog could still boss the tigers around when they grew up.
It’s not socially acceptable for humans to breastfeed wild animals, but we do bottle feed more infants that are not of our species than any species on earth.
We used to, though. That’s why there’s myths about witches who turned into hares in order for human women to nurse them. Apparently human breast milk is magical.
it sure is magical….magically delicious!
Oh, I don’t know, I heard of some women breastfeeding pigs and goats. Besides, I think they should have tried to match the kittens with a bigger dog variety. They’ll suck that poor momma dry when they get bigger.
Men who stare at goats….and the women who breastfeed them
Mahm, was I ‘dopted???
That’s so true! What a sweetie she is, and she’s so small. They’re gonna drink her up! I hope someone has bottles lined up to help her out.
She looks…overwhelmed.
so cute
The expression in her eyes says it all ..
New stork’s first day at work didn’t go quite as planned.
Man just wait a couple of years ’till you’ll see that little bitch followed by a pride of tigers, that’ll be a sight.
Her eyes are all “what the crap did the hoomans get me into NOW?”!
You think it’s awkward now, just wait until they’re teenagers.
There is something not cute and almost disturbing about this picture. I have seen similar pictures and the surrogate mommy dog looks content. This poor thing, …not so much.
Does anyone have any idea what breed/mix she might be? She’s a cutie.
She looks like a yorkie or a yorkie mix to me, but I’m guessing based on size, color, and face. I don’t claim to know my breeds like a Westminster judge or nothin’.
Thanks Lionpaw
There are so many breeds (and the new Mix-breeds crazy doesn’t help) that identifying a dog without a DNA test can be as much guess as knowledge, thanks for giving me a starting place to look for a similar dog.
If a woman wants to suckle an animal and if theres no discomfort or the danger of infection or the animal being unable to assimilate breast milk, then, apart from social norms, there is nothing degrading or weird in her decision to breastfeed the animal orphan. Above all else, if she is going to save its life that way, is she committing a crime? Its degrading in the minds of those who who opt to view it as a lewd act.
