Trickeh dawgz ar bein trickeh!
Somebody needs to feed that poor dog on the left.. his ribs are protruding something awful!
It’s a Boxer. I have one that is very well fed and he looks like that also. He’s very lean and all muscle. His ribs show when he moves certain ways. I’m not saying it’s not possible that dog is underfed, just that it could just be a Boxer thing.
I think a better tell then ribs would be hip and pelvis bones, if you can see those then there might be problem.
I agree, my boxer looks just like that and he’s definitely not underfed, he’s just a boxer. That boxer looks very clean, sleek, well muscled…
Same as Goldie – my Boxer looked exactly like that until she was about a year old. Ate like a horse, perfectly healthy according to the vet — looked like she was starving. I was afraid to take her out to the park for fear somebody would accuse me of abusing her!
Then she hit about a year old, and started to fill out.
My GSD looked like dis when she was young and she ate loadz
..and a “poo” at 2:00?? Lolz…
What a cool place, with all those dogs! I wanna go there!
No matter how lean or “sleek” a dog is, you should NOT be able to see that many ribs. Only two or three should be visible. The dog may not be starving, but it is underweight.
This doesn’t mean the people who took the photo are abusive, though. It could be a recently-rescued dog who is being rehabilitated. But he is definitely not a healthy weight.
That iz a gud thought Galena… iz nice thinkin himz mite be a rescue who just needz sum high calorie luvin
You can see more than two or three on my dog depending on how he stands/playing/doing the bean dance/whatever and the vet said he’s the perfect weight. It’s a boxer thing.
The dog is both leaning forward and, assuming by what is going on is the picture, probably breathing in (you know, to sniff). Both of these factors added together can create a situation where you can see all of the ribs on a very lean dog.
The shoulder muscles are nice and defined and the muscles in the neck look to as well. All of which leads me conclude that is it the angle at which the dog was shot that is making it look underfed, not the actual dog’s weight.
FINALLY! Someone who can spell!
lol pee on 3
