So do Dachshunds. XD Our little pack has surprised a lot of visitors with their big voices. Dad even nicknamed my Simon “Barks Tall”. (Well, the nickname was derived from the fact our dogs will bark at anything, even the horses we used to own. Simon had to tilt his head way back to bark at them. So, “Barks Tall”. (giggles))

Ha ha ha ha mimi. My basset hound mutt hardly bays at all, and rarely has. It’s incredibly cute when he does, but maybe that’s because he hardly ever does it.

I thought it was cute the first time my dachshunds bayed, so I laughed at them and gave them attention. Not only did my dachshunds keep up the baying habit, they taught the new dogs to do so as well. I have a feeling the people who encouraged the adorable beagle puppy to howl will regret that as much as I regret encouraging my dachshunds to bay.
