Wow. Some people shouldn’t own dogs. These are probably the same people who let their 4 year old stand on the back seat and look at me behind them while they drive because “He didn’t want to stay in his seat”.

I really hope you get pulled over BEFORE you have an accident.

Dachshunds! Cute to the point of inducing nausea-cuteness marred only by their awareness of their cuteness.

My poor long haired miniature dachshie had an existential crisis over the weekend. The people next door had an auction, so I kept her in as much as possible, lest she go on a barking frenzy during the sales. But eventually I had to put her out . So I let her out for 15 minutes, I called her to come back in, she ignored me-so I went out to see what she was up to. She was running along the fence dividing the two houses doing Cute Things to get the attention of the people looking at the merchandise ( dancing, rearing up on her hind legs and batting her front paws at them…)

And all the people ignored her. They actually seemed to think looking at the stuff they came to buy was more important than paying attention to a Small Cute Dog.

So I picked her up and carried her away, with her thrashing around, crying, trying to get me to put her down so she could try again at getting attention from the strange humans. It’s like she was in shocked disbelief : “Why are they ignoring me? Have I lost all my cute appeal? What’s wrong with them?”

I think I may have told her how cute she is at least once too often!
