  3. Cowdogwah says:

wot about da tomater-juice remedee fur da ded-skunk smell? haz anibodee tried dis?

    • Q says:

Tomato juice does work. It is the acidity in the tomato that cuts the odor, so you can achieve the same end with vinegar. A no-brand-name distilled white vinegar will be much cheaper than the same amount of tomato juice, won’t stain the dog’s fur or make such a mess in the bathtub.

      I’ve tried both.

my chow mix (now long dead) got skunked a lot and tomato juice did NOTHING on her thick fur. the only thing that worked was straight vinegar. we’d keep gallons of it on hand because when she got nailed it’d take about 2 gallons to get it all out of her fur. she’d reek like vinegar for 2 days but it’s way better than reeking like skunk. the vet told us that douche works well… but that’s just vinegar and water.

  4. hey the pic was really funny but maybe next tim eu should of talked about how he/she (the dog) hates batths an dhe/she should be telling the person washing him off lots of mean things but appropriote for kids though

  5. Momcat says:

Product called “Skunk Off” works even better than vinegar. It’s a bit expensive but my supervisor had to use it on her dog in the morning and came in that afternoon with no skunk smell!

  6. Q says:

My St Bernard once caught, killed, and ATE a skunk!. Skunky dog farts are the total worst

  7. rosieluv says:

Haha! No skunks in Dear Old Blighty, but my old lad Toby rolled in some ripe fox doings once and was then followed everywhere he went by a cloud of vicious-looking flies who just loved the whiff. Ketchup works on most stinky stuff too, and is thick enough to stay on the stain until bathtime.

OMG we had to tomato our dog after he got skunked on a camping trip (first had to ride home wif him in teh car yick) he was a white dog & turned pink with the tomato, I am sooo sorry I don’t have a picture of that! Ahh good times.

  11. Cammie says:

Is anyone else disturbed by the way that leg looks? >.> I can’t look at the dog.. Just keep staring at the knee and odd finger behind it.

  12. Jusie says:
