Aww

Fail.
Btw, is that dog spooning the poor kid?
yap, there is always the one in the crowd to spoil a perfect moment.
Creepy. Very creepy.
Is that a pitbull? This is still super-cute.
I do that with my pit bull/sheperd mix all the time! I cuddle next to him and sometimes sleep next to him during warm nights. :3
Its weird, I know, but I love my goggies!
how cute! my mom had a pitt that loved me like that. this needs to be shown to all the people who believe pit bulls are evil.
Totally agree! Every one i have ever known is just precious

This is wrong in so many ways.
Dogs are unpredictable and so are children, accidents are bound to happen.
No matter how lovely anthropomorphic this site is, dogs are not humans. The behaviour interpreted as “loving” or “cuddles” by us, may very well have a different meaning for dogs. It could lead to misunderstandings and thus dangerous situations.
Dogs aren’t humans (obviously) but they aren’t just ‘another animal’.
You don’t need to ‘interpret’ their behaviour, your dog does love you and does want cuddles. They aren’t aliens; they are a species that has lived intimately with humans as long as humans have been human.
What you do need is to know your child and your dog (some dogs are more unpredictable especially if a small child is poking them in the eye or sitting on them), and understand that you can’t forsee all eventualities so you don’t leave them alone together at a very young age.
I know what you’re saying, but I think you’re underestimating dogs. You can’t lump them in with other animals as if it’s unnatural for humans to live with dogs.
There’s no such thing as evil dogs, just evil owners.
And as for unpredicatibility, you can train that out of a dog, case in point guide dogs for the blind.
My mom’s friend has one of those dogs with a “lock jaw”.
He went to obedience school for two years (ok so the breed isn’t the brightest of the bulbs) and he is THE MOST PERFECT GENTLEMAN!
He also babysits the kids, etc.
I love this picture!! I commend everyone sticking up for their canine family members, pitties or not!
No one would think this was “wrong” or “weird” if it were a chihuahua or a shitzu…mean little ankle biters they are.
Ah, he’s protecting his boy. I’d like to see anyone try and take that kid away. I could so see my rattie doing something like this when I eventually have kids. She is never happier than when she is snuggled right up next to her humans.
