This isnt photoshopped.. the lighter colored face is called a mask. Its a type of marking afghan hounds have. The coat doesnt always have to be so silky, maybe this dog hasnt been brushed, or was clipped. So yea its an Afghan hound lol

Might be a borzoi with a shaved face… There’s some weird haircuts for dogs out there. It’s not at all like grayhounds are the only type of lean dog in exhistance… o.O It does look too floofy to be a borzoi though. Personally I prefere silken windhounds though. ^^

This is an afghan. Perhaps s/he is altered; that makes the coat more like down.
False. Spaying or neutering will not change coat texture. Have a good friend who breeds them who has several older altered dogs and have coats just like the intact dogs.
