He’ll watch her grow up, put up with her pulling on his tail and ears, play with her in the yard, and Lord Have Mercy on the person that thinks they’re gonna do any harm to HIS human pup. Dobermans and German Shepherds are other dogs you can trust your babies with. Nobody gets to their kids without express permission from their master.

I was about that baby’s age when my parents took me to my grandparents to visit my dad’s German Shepherd, Sheba. Story goes she sniffed me and very gently took my hand in her mouth. That dog never hurt me or my little sisters, very patiently put up with us messing with her…and no one that didn’t belong in her yard was going to get in her yard to mess with us. The GSD puppy we have now has played with a toddler I sit for, and while he’ll jump on us adults and chew on us a little, he’s been nothing but gentle with the kid.

In conclusion, you “ZOMG, big goggeh little babeh!” folks…srsly…chill out. He’s got his ears down and his head lower than hers. That’s “I’m a good goggeh” body language.

My family was terrified when I had my first and warned me my cat would suck the breath out of my newborn. I brought my baby home, the cat jumped in the crib and curled up next to it. I never had a problem and usually unless an animal is hurt or scared it will not attack. I guess the bottom line is watch your kids and animals like responsiable parents/owners.
