    • iris says:

princess peanut, non shepard, gets this too. :( . i come home every day, but i know she thinks this….

      • AngelAndz says:

Does she ever dance around and either try to cover you in dog hairs or lick you to death? Sandy does this a lot. He even tries to get you to play with him by picking up one of his toys and prancing around in circles right in front of you *lol*

        • BHoyle says:

My German Shepherd/Greyhound mix does exactly that. And tries to beat me to death with his tail.

          • AngelAndz says:

*lol* Don’t I know what that’s like *shakes head and smiles* Sandy’s tail is leathal and must be avoided at all costs :-P

    • cheezburgerrules says:

  3. mikebrow says:

If you like the dog name word play, I did LOLs for bassets, Great Danes, Labs, Rottweilers, and Pomeranians too. They’re in my LOLS.

    • AngelAndz says:

      I’ve seen them and they’re great :)

People checking out this lol should definitely see the one with the Rottweiler :) It’s very funny ^_^

  4. meow says:

So true! But I think that characteristic is more pronounced in the American bloodlines than in the European.

  5. JAWs says:

My late GSD whined when you left and when you came back in- even after five minutes, he was in rapture. I miss that 100 pound lapdog!

  6. So Right says:

My dad’s german shepards are worse than anyone posted here. Seriously. They have this.

  7. lonelyjew14 says:

my GSD has this too. she won’t let me shower without banging her massive body against the door. she used to wait for me to come home before she would go to sleep. she’s worse than my parents.

  8. DogTrainer says:

    Breed spelling fail.

  9. yasoup says:

My Puffy, a Rottie x Chow adoptee, gets this. She is so happy to see us when we/I come(s) back! If we don’t have food, my Peach-cat, also adopted, is “meh”.

  10. bananananas says:

    hehehehe..breed spelling fail

  11. fuzzydeath says:

my gsd ava tears the house apart trying to find things that smell like us to comfort her till we get back

  12. DogTrainer says:

It’s a pet peeve. They are HERDing dogs, they don’t HARD, they HERD. Self proclaimed breed aficionados who can’t spell it are an annoyance. As far as humor impaired…I find 90% of these things hilarious. Out of my 5 GSDs, none of them freak out when we leave, it’s a product of good nerve and good training, so you’ll have to excuse me if this one didn’t hit my funny bone. Nice head on your dog, though, have you thought a about a form for that ear?

    • AngelAndz says:

For the last time, no one cares about how you spell the name of a dog breed here or proper spelling for that matter. Like I said before, this is an ICHC website. We use LolSpeak here and totally abandon all proper spelling in our lolz. If you have a problem with bad spelling here, take it up with the people in charge (there is link to contact them on the main page of the website) and stop criticising my friend who created this lol and made up the word in it to make people laugh, not to get nitpicked by Spelling Nazis *end rant*

      • Duffy says:

I guess we’re lucky the captioneer didunt spell it Sheppurd.

        • AngelAndz says:

The spelling doesn’t matter, but as Mike has pointed out, it’s best not to react or get annoyed. We’re just giving fuel to the fire

      • mikebrow says:

Easy Andz! It’s OK! I find that almost any good LOL will strike some people the wrong way. I had another LOL that generated over 800 votes, but also generated 100 (mostly negative) comments. Sometimes the joke just hits too close to home to be funny. Dogtrainer can has laffs at neckst LOL, OK?

        • AngelAndz says:

Okay, Mike :) Sorry I got a bit hot headed there. I just get annoyed when people nitpick other people’s lolz here because of bad spelling. I promise to not let them get to me anymore :)

    • lolwannabeee says:

Whats a form??? and what would it do to his ear??? sounds nasty

      • mikebrow says:

In certain breeds, when you show the dog, the breed standard calls for the ears to be erect and attentive. If they don’t pop up on their own, they can use a form or tape them in an erect position. The form is just something to keep the ear pointed up until it stays that way by itself. It doesn’t hurt ‘em. But they don’t like having anything on their ears. I’m actually not a shepherd afficionado, although I love all dogs. The dog in the pic isn’t mine. I just found the picture on the LOL builder.

  13. samzzz says:

I thoght it was cute. Even emailed it to the hubby. We have a GSD who suffers as well. I have some very “sad” pics of her that you captioners would prob have fun with. :)
As afor the comment about training. Any dog who has bonded with their humans will have anxiety when they leave. Maybe yours don’t show it cause they don’t care. Leads me to think you may be missing out on a wonderful experience having a Shep bonded with you. They are herding dogs. And dogs are pack animals. If you are in their pack, they’re gonna mis you…

  14. FairyBear says:

I jus got outta da ‘ospital. While Iz be sick my shitzu thunkded I had aboneded her! Such a silly puppeh….her pichure on my table was whats got me thru a really awful, horrible, bad week!
