I thought this was a newfie but have never seen a chocolate-colored one before. I thought they were all black. Are we certain of the breed?
I love newfies and wish the climate of my area (hot/arid) would make that a feasible choice for me.
Yea he’s definately a newfie. Its not unusual to have a brown one – they are either brown, black, black with a touch of white or black and white (although thats technically a Landseer).
We had a newfie when we lived in Houston (hot and humid) and just kept him very well brushed to take out his undercoat and in the hottest months we had him trimmed. Embarrasing for him, but he was more comfortable
I’ve seen chocolate Newfies who look like grizzly bears. Of course they act like teddy bears.

I thinks that is a newfie, I had newfie cross greater Pyrenees puppies and the puppy with the most newfie in it looked exactly like that.

it’s a Newf … they call this colour “copper” allowed in the show ring in UK, but not recognised in Canada, not sure about the U.S. Coppers can throw black or copper pups. My Newf was a black & her mum was a copper
