It’s spelled “y’all,” not “ya all” or “ya’ll” or “yall.”
It’s a contraction between “you” and “all,” and it’s identical in function to the Spanish “vosotros,” a word the English language inadvertently left out when it was cobbled together from German and the vestiges of Latin by the common folk in the streets.
And I don’t think this was a case of lolspeak, I think this was a case of yankee ignorance.
