    • A Noun says:

On this side of the planet, Favor.

      • Count Blah says:

In Canada it’s also spelled “favour.”

      • the other side says:

ohh wow, never thought this web was segregated only for the use of one “side of the
planet”, ….thats a modern thoght, yes sir!!

        • Mike says:

Woah, very condescending! A nice use of buzzwords to suggest hate and intolerance though, your method of manipulating and swaying readers is impressive and laudable. How about a bit of patience and civility, and recognize that it’s up to the captioner how to spell favor. Both are acceptable, and if you hail from the United States, it’s without the u. Just like color and flavor. No need to be so harsh and judgmental. Just relax a bit and stop assuming everyone’s out to commit hate crimes.
Oh, and it’s spelled “thought,” with a U. Hah, that’s almost ironic!

          • Lisamcb1 says:

You made conescending comments as well. Correcting spelling when once it was right and once it wasnt. It doesnt matter does it? You are right we SHOULDNT correct the captioner…OR the commenters.

  3. vicki says:

    beautiful!

  4. Can’t LOLspeak, but what a stunning dog and perfect caption. Great job.

  5. ophelia says:

Very striking shot, and sweet caption. Does anyone know if this is a snapshot or a professional photo that’s been co-opted?

  6. Freddie says:

Wow, that is a gorgeous, gorgeous dog.

  7. Freddie says:

    What an absolutely beautiful dog.

  8. mimi says:

Speaking as an art major, that is a great photograph-it’s a perfectly balanced triangle composition, the background is lovely-and what a gorgeous, noble looking dog. That caption is so moving…Is it true? Is the rescuer of the dog here and is s/he the one who wrote the caption? I’d like to think so-and in any case, great job !

  9. Kimmie says:

LOVE it. That tugged on my heart.

  10. bonito says:

Is this someone’s dog? Where was he rescued from (he looks very similar to my dog!

  11. Gindy says:

WOW, what an awesome dog, moving caption, and just spectacular photgraph. I second mimi’s evaluation, perfect triangulation and composition.

  12. buksi says:

It is a beautiful dog indeed. Although the back is not visible but it looks like a Ridgeback or a Ridgeback mix.

  13. Food Giver Person says:

We are the proud family of Roxie. She’s a Boxer/Ridgeback Mix. She’s seen here hiking on the Heritage Trail along the Potomac River in Washington DC. Photo was taken with an iPhone. She 3.5 yrs old, we adopted her last year.

    • lastbeautflgirl says:

Awesome!!! Thank you for posting this…we have a boy, Anchor, who looks just like this. The shelter said he was a Boxer/Shepherd mix, but I decided she was Boxer/Ridgeback…success! Our fellow is about 3.5 years old, too, we think. Great picture!

    • amandakat says:

excellent job…………..wid goggie and eye phone

  14. SheltieRescue says:

Thank you for rescuing that gorgeous dog! Rescue rocks!

  15. Kacky says:

    Wow, that’s a beautiful dog.

  16. Oh, bother says:

What a heartwarming story! If I worked for a rescue group I would be asking you for permission to use that photo and caption as part of my advertising. (Somehow I don’t think it would have the same power if the dog were my rescue corgi…. 8^)). You might offer it to the group you rescued from. In any event: great shot of a fine, noble dog. A great rescue story. It’s great that you’re proud of her. Perfect ending to Roxie’s story!

  17. Kirsty-Lou says:

Beautiful! Have had two rescue dogs myself – both a lot smaller than this but both very very protective! Love him!!!

  18. Food Giver Person says:

In the middle of an 6+ mile jog, my husband had asked Roxie to sit on a rock so he could take her photo. Instead, she jumped up on the log and posed – her instincts proved correct.

  19. Markitteh says:

    Clever woofter.

  20. Bridg says:

    Perfecshuns……… I GOTZ IT!

  21. kashmir says:

Rescue dogs are the best. I have two now and am thinking about a third.
