   What types of hounds are these? I have one with similar coloring and a different face shape, but we’ve never been able to figure out his mix…

     They’re likely American Foxhounds, which look like tall beagles. (It’s hard to tell cuz of the fisheye lens…there’s a bunch of beagle breeds who when you line them up look like russian stacking dolls…of BEAGLES!

    that looks like the Chateau de Cheverny in the Loire Valley. the family still keeps hunting hounds and yes, they do actually go on the hunt!

    the Chateau was also the model for Captain Haddock’s Marlinspike Hall in the Tintin series of books
