poor goggie has evil poke kollar on. hooman shud tri it, see how it feelz.
googie sayz “tayk me to o-bee-dee-ince klass, I no pull on leesh!” :(

It really doesn’t hurt terribly, unless the dog really disobeys. It is used to strong dogs who have a tendency to pull or refuse to move. In this day of (often mistakenly credited to) pitbull attacks, a litle severity is better than having your dog act like a dog sometime, and, regretting your mistake, having your dog end up taking the long walk…

At the dogschool they said that it actually immitates the bite a mommydog gives to her puppies when the puppies are doing bad things so it ain’t that bad but they warned users that they have to be careful that they don’t overdo the pulling. Not the first time that someone gave his dog little wounds because he/she used the collar wrong.

Moar like good hooman, wants goggie to be respectful and well trained!

    • lufflaff says:

why not take goggie to class, rather than use pain as punishment?

(sorry all for teh dooble comment, stupie thing didn’t post at furst!)

I bee-leve aminuls (an hoomans) do better when reewarded wif praze instead uf punisshd. MAYbee, if da hooman REELEE kno how to use kollar, it bee ok. I seen too many dum hoomans yank goggies off ground wif deese.

    • Tribble says:

But should it be left on all the time? I thought it was for walking and training. It doesn’t look like the dog can even lay down without being poked by the prongs. I have never held a collar like this, so I could be wrong.

People, this is my “goggie”. His name is Moose. This “goggie” is well cared for. He is a 4-year old pit that I rescued from a shelter two and a half years ago… He isnt’ being hurt with the collar. This is him and my brother’s dog… He still had his leash on because he had just come back from a walk and I just hadn’t taken it off yet. The pinch collar is used only when walking… and it’s not painful when used properly… It isn’t left on all the time… They aren’t actually asleep… He’s just nomming away… so his eyes are closed. If you notice the other dog also has her leash on as well… And lufflaff I HAVE worn the collar to make sure it didn’t hurt. It is on loose enough so that it doesn’t pinch him unless he disobeys…
