Wow, does no one else see this as child endangerment? Letting a fifty pound dog “snuggle” with a 10 pound infant seems like negligent parenting to me.

    • Jane says:

      yeah, I agree…little bit worrisome.

    • Z says:

7/10. Good troll attempt, but too smarmy.

    • Jay says:

I don’t see it as endangerment. The dog is not laying on the baby, he just has a leg draped over it. Further, since a picture is being taken, they’re obviously not unsupervised.

Having said that … Adorable picture!

that would mean that anyone with a dog larger than their child should be worried all the time? if the dog has never bit anyone, I dont see the negligent part you speak of……….

      • S says:

But when that dog gets startled by that loud, squealy baby under her muzzle, she might bite. Not because she’s a mean dog, just cos that’s what startled dogs do to defend themselves. (I think, not trying to be a troll… )

Maybe Dog is very used to the weird intervals that the “ugly puppeh” cries. Or maybe Dog doesn’t hear very well…. I dunno.

I trust that people know what they’re doing with their own kids/dogs. :)

It is a really adorable photo.

    • Amber says:

It’s probably just for a quick pic, I see a human arm under the baby so it’s not like they just let the dog lay on the baby unsupervised for a long period of time.

  7. Carla says:

    Pfft I love this
My friend has a huge dog wich has never hurt either of her twin girls – he even drags there blankets up over them if he thinks they may be cold…so adorable! theres nothing negligent about this >_o

  8. C says:

Yeah, sorry, I agree – this photo gives me the fear! Dogs can turn at any moment, whether you want to believe it or not. Just because they have never bitten anyone doesn’t mean they never will.

And yes, anyone who has a baby or small child should be aware all the time about their child being left within mauling distance of the dog – I think that’s called good parenting!

  9. Jenni says:
