The double sided collar is a great touch, it almoast makes it look like they’re two different dogs.

The breed standard for the miniature pinscher is a cropped tail and ears, although now the standard does include natural ears. The reason the tail was cropped because minpins were once used as house dogs who caught rats and other vermin around the castles or houses. A cropped tail helped keep the minpin free of rat bites which could prove to be fatal due to infections or rabies.

The germans later refined the breed standard and cropped their ears because it made them look more intelligent, and it fit there compact athlete body type.

My minpin has cropped ears but I think it is up to the breeder and the owner as to what breed standards to uphold.

Seeing Min Pins and terriers an Dobies an other goggies get earz an tayls croped for cozmetik reezons givs me a sad; therz ho REEZON since goggies dun care how de lookz.

If it medikal reezon, lik bad cirkoolashon in tayls and earz, or dey getz in fight an getz hurtz (sad!) den das okay. Still bery sad, but okay.

Meh, don’t worry about it. None of my pets ever recognize their reflection as an animal. I had an iguana who did, but upon licking the glass (sense of smell, not craziness) he completely lost interest in mirrors.
