Except you don’t know how large the diameter of the fence is. It could stretch half a mile width wise, for all we know. That’s just one corner on the fence we’re seeing.

And some dogs prefer to be outside. It’s no more healthy for a dog to lounge around indoors on the sofa all day than it is for a human.

        • Corie says:

Especially a dog of that size. My golden retriever asks to go outside 6 or 7 times a day just to run around in our half-acre back yard (which is, yes, surrounded by a fence).

I dogsit for a Golden, and every evening we play her favorite game: Let the dog out…let the dog in…let the dog out…let the dog in…let the dog out…let the dog in… Keeps her entertained for hours…

        • Puppichan says:

But for sleeping at night, dogs belong inside the house with the rest of their “pack”/family. Dogs in packs normally sleep in the same area together, and that’s what their human family is to a dog.
