     Looks more like a dachshund to me…the color’ s all wrong for a basset. The ears look also dachshund-like.

     Also: granny dog looks flower-y and smells like violets- and yes, you has to accept her kiss. NO excuse, young man!

     Looks like a weight challenged dachsund to me.
     I have a mini-dachsund that is the same color and has the same shaped ears, muzzle. and backend.
